From 17th to 22nd March 2020, the provincial council of the Comboni Missionaries of the Heart of Jesus in the Congo was held at Kingabwa, at the provincial house. It was the first meeting of the new provincial council. The new provincial team is composed of the following members: Fr. Leonard Ndjadi Ndjate, provincial superior, in the centre of the photo. He is assisted by four confreres: Fr. Célestin Ngore "at the far left of the photo", followed by Bro. Jean-Marie Mwamba. On the far right we have Father Eduardo Pesquera and Father Benedict Kaliya. These four councillors help the provincial superior to govern the province and to animate the confreres so that the Comboni charism and the missionary work received from our founder, St. Daniel Comboni, may continue in the Democratic Republic of Congo. This team will be at the service of the mission until 31 December 2022.
We wish them a fruitful ministry. May St. Daniel Comboni and the Virgin Mary accompany them in discernment and decisions for the good of the province and the Institute. May the Lord bless the province of Congo.
